A Decade of Silk was recorded at the Sir James Black Conference Centre in October 2007 to mark 10 years of Silk Brass. This is Jim Cant's first recording with the band, and he has selected music from the bands' current concert program, as well as requested pieces, and selected soloists.

This CD was recorded in September 2003 to mark the sixth anniversary of the formation of the band and also to celebrate the band's success at winning the title Champion Brass Band of Great Britain in the 3rd section for 2002-2003. The pieces chosen are a selection of works played by the band during its extensive concert performances.
The Band hopes that you enjoy our choice of music and that at least one of your favourites is there somewhere. Finally, our thanks go to you all who continue to support the band through attending our concerts.
